We have been searching the internet to understand what are the problems that car guys are facing right now. And while doing that we have constantly encountered the queries like “Car service”, “Car service center near me”, “car service near me”, “Car service station”, “Car service repair” etc.

So we decided to write an article on how to do car service at home as it is hard to get to the nearest service center physically to get the car serviced as it is corona outside.

So if you have a few tools at home, it is very possible to do basic service your of car at home if you don’t get any result for the query “Car service center near me” on the internet.

So let’s talk about what can we do to service our car at home: -

  • Engine oil change.
  • Gear oil change.
  • Coolant change.
  • Oil filter change.
  • Air filter change & check.
  • Disk pad clean.
  • Washing and cleaning.

Engine oil change: -

  • So the first thing you need to make sure is that your car engine is cool, if not then leave it for half an hour and after that start to change the engine oil.
  • So now you have to go under the car and locate the drain plug in the engine oil chamber which is basically a bolt. after finding the drain plug, put a pan under it so that the oil doesn’t get spilled on the floor and get into the pan.
  • After draining the old oil completely close the drain plug with its bolt tightly so that the new oil doesn’t get spilled on the floor, then open the oil cap in the engine and fill the new oil into it.
  • The quantity and the grade of the oil that needs to be filled in the car are written in the owner’s manual.
  • Most of the experts suggest that you should change the engine oil of your car between 7,500 km to 10,000 km or after 1 year.
